Being a magical girl isn’t easy, huh?

So Mami was finished fo Acen and she represents probably the most difficult costume I’ve made in my time cosplaying…which is really silly considering how simple she looks.

The corset is a base corset that I made out of bottom weights and steel boning. It was the first “real” corset I ever made and the first busk I ever installed = n = The cover is a moleskin fabric. The yellow bone casings were made from bias tape I made myself and hand sewed on. The ribbon/lace detailing was made by weaving ribbon through eyelet lace and hand sewing it on.

The skirt is a full circle with horse hair braid for fullness. The trim around it is bias tape I made out of the same moleskin as the corset and handsewed on.

All the trim on the shirt is bias tape I made and hand sewed on.

Are you seeing a pattern here = ~ =?

Anyway there’s still some stuff I’d like to fix for her come Colossalcon! Yay.
